About Me 

Hi, I’m Elizabeth Joy Petry I am 26 years old and was born & raised in southern Louisiana just outside of New Orleans. I am a good old fashioned person that loves her family, caffeine and God. I love getting down and dirty in the Louisiana mud but I wouldn't mind getting dressed up every once in a while. I never miss an opportunity to dance in the rain and always look for the good things life has to offer.  I am going into my 18th year of dancing and love teaching my tiny dancers. I have 7 cats …. Yes 7, they are all rescues and helping animals is very important to me. Meaning behind the sunflower Elizabeth Joy Photography is going into the Third year of being open but have always had an eye for photography. When I decided to open EJP, I wanted meaning behind my name and what I would bring to the photography world. I went through all kinds of names to see what could have brought happiness, but one just felt right .. I mean Joy is my middle name ! As for the sunflower, well sunflowers were my grandfather's favorite flower. I want to represent him in some way because he was such a strong person and I wanted a strong meaning to represent my business.
